Working in Jersey – career structure
Because the hospital on Jersey operates outside the NHS, we’re free to set our own strategy and develop our own services for patients. And that means, for anyone working on our team, there are always real opportunities to influence the way we work and shape the care we provide.
So the working culture is different than anything you’re likely to encounter elsewhere. That said, our commitment to lifelong learning means you’re always able to stay at the forefront of best practice in your profession. This is a teaching hospital, so education and training play a major part in everyone’s working life here.
Collaborative working is also key to our success. The teams within the hospital work closely together to deliver ever-better outcomes. We have very close, joined-up relationships with other statutory agencies on the island, too. All in all, it means working here really does give you the chance to make a visible contribution to the whole community.
